Marica Ågren-Hagblad, Kungsör, Sweden Animal and Landscape painting
The motives are mainly horses, dogs, cats and other animals in graphite, pastel crayon, oil-paint, watercolour/coloured pen and landscapes in pure watercolour.
Horses, dogs and other animals are portrayed by one or several photos. Quite often does one get a lot of rather bad photos of their horses and dogs as animals are rather difficult to portray by photographing. The solution is to "pick out" different parts from several photos of the same animal. Then I use these parts and put them together in a new portrait. You can have the portraits as you wish: The animal in arrangement, with rider on or by, head portrait, in motion or a combination in the one and same picture. You can also order several animals together (they don´t need to be on the same photo). For example: A mare (or a bitch with her offspring, your favorite dos/cats etc... The backgrounds are painted in a soft scale of colours and details to bring out the animal, unless you wants a special background that has a connection with the animal. If one wish, the name and possibly some pedigree/studnumber can be written in the lower left corner of the painting.
